Big A.D. is Andrew Devlin, a DJ/Promoter from New York City. He started The Level Party, and he likes to hang out in his neighborhood. Something New is his first EP.
The record starts off with "Couch Track." Conceived as an ambient rumbler for the home, she's equally capable of gathering dancers on the floor in the early hours. Next up is title track "Something New," a dedication to Hot 97 and Italian House Music made with peak-time at Le Bain in mind. "Back to Me" is the emotional house number, a subaquatic trip with a sneaky bassline to keep the speaker freakers glued to the subs. "The Beginning" is a pure late night roller, the sound of a good party reaching bliss as the early birds have gone home. It's all love from here. The album closes with lone vocal track, "Nowadaze (Indecisive Dub)" a shrowded tale of a young man who can't decide to do with his night now that he can go out again.
"Big thanks to everyone who supported me finally making this. Especially Katrina, Cheikh, Robin, Mom, John, Noreen, Kristin, Mike Thies, Mike Bloom, and anyone else who listened to some version of something in here. Big thanks Charlotte in MTL for the graphics help, too. Hope you enjoy.
Much love,
AD"
